Poly AIO V1.2 is Here. The OG Poly F405 AIO is Getting Better.

Several improvements are made to the V1.2 to make the Poly AIO easier to solder and work with, and to meet pilots needs. Detailed improvements are as below.

  • Bigger and easier to access battery lead and capacitor soldering pads.
  • Bigger flash blackbox. The blackbox flash is updated from 4Mbyte to 8M flash. Pilots can now record more flying data, which makes the tuning easier.
  • New inverter is used. Now, you don’t need to bridge the jumper pads any more. Just wire the SBUS receiver to the UART4, and you are good to go.
  • Higher current 3.3V LDO is featured onboard, the power supply is much improved.
Note about the ESC firmware Preflashed to the Poly F405 V1.2

Since November 2024, the Poly F405 V1.2 AIO minimum start up power value is adjusted to 1010 and maximum startup power value is adjusted to 1080. This means that this setting should work well for many builds, in many cases, you don’t need to adjust the startup power value manually.

For your reference, for the first batch Poly F405 V1.2 AIO preflashed with V0.21 Bluejay ESC firmware, the startup power value is min1010, max1020. If you receive the first batch Poly F405 V1.2 AIO preflashed with V0.21 Bluejay ESC firmware, we recommend you adjust the start up power value to min1010, max1080 in the ESC configurator.

Suitable for Lightweight Toothpick and Cinewhoop

The Poly AIO V1.2 is easy to use, light weight and versatile. Big soldering pads, reasonable pad layout and easy to access battery leads, all of these features make the Poly F405 V1.2 AIO really easy to solder and work with.  It also features a bigger blackbox 8M flash, now you can record more flying data. And 5UARTs onboard mean you will not be short of UART anymore. So whether you build toothpick, cinewhoops or longrange quads, Poly F405 2S-4S V1.2 AIO get you all covered.

Recommended Builds

The Poly V1.2 AIO is suitable for light 3″ sub250g builds. It supports motors ranging from 1102~1104, 1202~1204, 1303, to 1404 motors. 1404 is the largest motor the Poly V1.2 supports, please avoid using high kv option like 6000kv 1404 motors. And for 1404 4s build, we highly recommend you solder the capacitor directly to the capacitor soldering pads.

Note about the ESC firmware Preflashed to the Poly F405 V1.2

Since November 2024, the Poly F405 V1.2 AIO minimum start up power value is adjusted to 1010 and maximum startup power value is adjusted to 1080. This means that this setting should work well for many builds, in many cases, you don't need to adjust the startup power value manually.

For your rerference, for the first batch Poly F405 V1.2 AIO preflashed with V0.21 Bluejay ESC firmware, the startup power value is min1010, max1020.

----updated on 2024/11/25

The default Bluejay firmware on the Poly F405 V1.2 is 0.21. The start up power is lower than the previous version V0.16. If you find your motor doesn't spin up, please try to increase the start up power.

Note for Motor Choice

1404 is the maximum motor size that the Poly F405 V1.2 supports. About the KV value, please avoid using high kv 1404/1303 motors, such as 1404 6000KV.  For the 1404 size motor, 3800kv is recommended.

Note for Capacitor Installation

Please solder the capacitor directly to the onboard capacitor soldering pad. We highly recommend that you do this when you build a 4S quad.

Note for Receiver and VTX Setup

Please power up the receiver and VTX by the battery during the binding and setup process. Because the 5V from USB does not power the receiver and VTX.

Note for Buzzer Choice

Only the buzzer with a built-in drive circuit can be used on this AIO flight controller. A common micro buzzer (that only has two legs and without PCB board) is incompatible with the Poly F405 2S-4S AIO. We have released the buzzer with a built-in driver circuit. Buy it here.
